The newest member to the Spicymonkey range is our Satay Sauce. The recipe for this was developed specially for a huge summer party. Several litres of this sauce was poured over butties and salads and devoured by hungry, drunk friends. Therefore, due to its popularity, the sauce was tried and tested for general public consumption. Pray for a hot summer, get the BBQ out, call some friends round and impress them all with some deliciously tasty (almost addictive) Satay Sauce.

Strictly speaking, Satay is the term for the chunks of meat or vegetables which are skewered and grilled over hot charcoals. The sauce itself is a creamy coconut and peanut based mixture with a sprinkle of spices. We also add a dash of sesame, fish sauce and lime juice to give our sauce a perfectly balanced, authentic taste. In fact, our drunk party friends were absolutely certain it is more beautiful than the sauce you get in Indonesia (even though they haven't been).

Due to these wonderful ingredients, the sauce is an absolute nightmare to produce. Coconuts and peanuts get monkeys extremely excited. When you receive a nice shiny clean jar of our homemade Satay Sauce, please spare a thought for the countless hours lost to tidying up after our monkeys and then actually cleaning the stuff out of the monkeys hair.

Luckily for us, monkeys enjoy a relaxing groom at the end of a hard day's play.
