Phaal curry powder

Generally speaking, people that enjoy a hot curry are nutters.

Without exception, people that enjoy eating Phaal's are insane.

It is a very rare thing to see Phaal on a curry house menu so they normally need to be asked for. It is then up to the restaurant staff to decide whether or not you look like you can handle it. If you've ever seen somebody convince the staff, and you've then watched them eat it, it is both a real joy and frightening to watch.

Usually the first spoonful is met with a lot of stares and cheers from friends as they guage the requirements for more drinks or medical assistance.

After a few spoonfuls the nutter has either already given up in a barrage of abuse from his friends or has gone through extraordinary pain barriers in the mouth, throat and stomach. Anybody finishing off a Phaal is a legend amongst his peers and may have a photo of himself looking rather sweaty on the wall in the curry house.

Because they are so dangerous, it is even more rare to see Phaal products or recipes in shops and books.

And because we encourage nuttiness whole heartedly, we are delighted to offer a Phaal curry powder so nutters can practice eating them before braving them in front of friends or work colleagues.

We use an exceptionally hot chilli powder in the recipe and it should not be taken lightly. Following the recipe on the jar will give you a curry that may burn the skin from your mouth and may leave scars in your memory.

Are you a nutter...?
