Ooh ooh ah ah!!! Monkeys are at least 96% human. Like human boys, all monkeys want to be superheroes. Failing that, they'll make do with being ninjas. Here at Spicymonkey Towers we've never seen a real life ninja monkey, but we guess that's because they're very good at it. These rarely seen creatures are even more vicious than their human equivalents. Monkeys are many times fitter, faster, stronger and of course, more agile. So when a ninja monkey attacks, it's an all out assault. This sauce reflects all the qualities of a ninja monkey attack. Using Naga Jolokia peppers (almost deadly!), wasabi, soy sauce, sesame and ginger, the heat from this sauce starts right at the front and attacks all the way to the back of your mouth. This may not seem very sneaky or ninja like, but hey, the monkeys here at SMT are certainly not discreet.
Due to the limited availability of these evil peppers, only a small number of jars are available. This also means the cost of the peppers is rather high. As with all other products we have tried to keep the price down as much as possible and the quality as high as possible. Because the sauce is so hot, a little will go a very long way. Our monkeys love using this sauce with sushi. This is mainly because it's very messy making sushi. You could also try it with baked beans, with mayonnaise or yoghurt, using it as a thinly coated marinade before BBQ-ing or grilling meat, pouring over pizza or as a dip for rice dishes. Here's a few words about the sauce from Paul Dukes (Bristol)... "May I say thank you for such a quality chili sauce. I never heard of your products until trying to blag as much free food at the Christmas fair in Newcastle (11/11/07). As a lover of hot and spicy food the instant attraction to both Evil and Ninja monkeys set me a challenge. Both tasted fantastic. More surprisingly was the knowledge of the 2 people on stand. Who spoke about the endless possibilities you can use the sauces and spices with. Usually I find people make some hot sauce, stuff it in a bottle with a picture of a Mexican bloke with some sort of flame and think it’s the hottest thing since napalm was invented. BUT, they have no real flavour to them (even If mind-blowing hot). Suffice to say I came back and purchased a jar of each, went home and tucked in. My only gripe is your towers are so far away (I’m Bristol based). All in all, I look forward to the bottom of the jar so I can re order some more."
Pricing £5 per jar (approx 190ml)
