Spicymonkey Towers is where the magic happens. It's not quite on the scale of Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory just yet, but the foundations are currently being laid. So far Spicymonkey Towers consists of 4 main areas; Production, Laboratory, Warehouse and MR (Monkey Resources). The production area is obviously where all the curry pastes, powders and marinades are made. It is also where they are filled into jars and labelled. Since all our products are homemade we so far have: - one kitchen, one chopping board, one knife, one spice grinder, one mixing bowl and one pan. Oh, and the big wooden spoon for mixing. Hundreds of times every day any number of these tools can go missing. This is mainly due to the monkeys who regularly go missing or just hide things so they can get out of making more delicious Spicymonkey stuff.
The laboratory at Spicymonkey Towers is where all our curries are tested. The chief laboratory testers are mainly lucky, close relatives and friends. Whenever a new product is added to the list or when a special request is made, they are thoroughly tested first to ensure they pass our high standards. We are fully aware that not all our products will suit all taste buds, but we are confident that you will appreciate our efforts to make genuine homemade curry pastes and mixes, using only fresh spices and herbs.
The warehouse at Spicymonkey Towers is the fridge. Most of our products are pastes, and while they contain large amounts of spices and a little olive oil, they do not have any further preservatives added to them. So they are best kept in the fridge where they can keep for up to 3 months. Some of our other products are spice mixes which are blends of ground spices. These will keep indefinitely so long as they are stored in a cool, dark cupboard. To prevent loss of flavour they are best used within 6 months.
Monkey Resources is a funny department at Spicymonkey Towers. Resource is very limited but we are lucky enough to have help, support and ideas from many friends and family. Thank you very much to everybody that has helped Spicymonkey in any way so far, especially to all those people who took the first brave steps in testing Spicymonkey products and giving valuable feedback.
