If you don't know what Chilli con Carne is, there's a good chance you have grey skin, enlarged eyes and use telepathic communication. Or you have just come across the wrong website. This dish is known all over the world and deservedly so. It's superb. What's surprising is the number of variations claiming to be an 'original' recipe. There's a good chance that there is no original recipe anymore because of the variations. What we have tried to achieve at Spicymonkey Towers is an authentic Mexican taste with lots of flavour and fire, along with the right amount of herbs, for a taste you won't forget.
As with all Spicymonkey products we have made this as easy as possible to prepare. Just fry chopped onions in a little oil until browned. Add minced meat, veggie-mince or diced vegetables along with the required amount of chilli mix, add chopped tomatoes and simmer until cooked. If you want, add some kidney / chilli beans and heat through. Serve with rice.
This recipe is great for use with tortilla wraps, melted cheese, guacamole and yoghurt. In fact, the chilli mix is great for all sorts of uses like spicing up lasagne, cannelloni, fajitas, burritos etc...
